  1. This is a VERY powerful advert that raises awareness and more importantly
it is done RIGHT. Whoever directed this advert focused on showing what the
“battle” is really about ! Way to many adverts (the dreaded “C” for
intance) have become distasteful and in my case offensive as I am not alone
in losing a loved one to it. Thank you British Heart Foundation for
    breaking the trend

  2. FUNDA collaborate with the British Heart Foundation delivering FUNDAFIT
Inflatable Fundraising Days in Lancashire Primary Schools check us out !!

  3. I disagree. This advert follows the same pattern as many cancer adverts. It
strongly suggests that heart disease will be fixed by men in white coats
delivering a medical solution. This is correct for a certain type of heart
disease – but for most heart disease the solution is clear – exercise more
and eat a better diet. It is our poor lifestyle that is causing the disease
    on the whole.

  4. if exercise and a better diet is the solution, why did that footballer have
the heart attack on the pitch? this advert shows us that it is not only
unfit people that are susceptible to heart disease it is also those that
live a healthy lifestyle but have underlying heart problems that they may
    not have known about

  5. That’s because it is men and women in white coats who WILL deliver a
medical solution alongside an improvement in health and lifestyle. It won’t
just happen. The British Heart Foundation, like Cancer Research need our
support. This advert shows that fit and healthy people (such as the
footballer Fabrice Muamba) can succumb to heart disease, which many people
    don’t seem to realise.

  6. I hate heart disease because it took our eldest son, Nye (pictured),
suddenly and unexpectedly in 2007, aged 22. Nye had played football
(soccer) for 14 years and passed away in his sleep from HCM. In hindsight
there were symptoms which were overlooked because he otherwise appeared fit
and healthy. We desperately need more awareness here in Australia and I
congratulate the British Heart Foundation for supporting cardiac risk in
young people as well as the old.

  7. I almost died of heart failure at 7wks old I doubt I had a bad lifestyle!
INFECTION caused my cardiomyopathy but you’re so clued up on heart probs
you’ll know that’s 1 of the main causes of cardiomyopathy won’t you?!
Genetics/development in the womb cause heart probs, pregnancy can cause it
maybe due to the pressure of it on your heart/body? I’ll need specialist
care when I want a baby – not cos I’m unfit but due to the fact I have a
damaged heart! Stop stereotyping please & do some research!

  8. Powerful advert especially with Muamba coming back on the pitch. I was
lucky I came back from 2 v-tach collapses. I have an ICD now but also have
dilated cardiomyopathy and atrial fibrillation which they hope to fix with
ablation soon. Got excellent treatment in Harefield now in St Georges
Tooting. I made it to 46 some kids are unlucky.
