SuperMeat is an Indiegogo campaign that aims to eliminate the need for animal agriculture by producing artificial lab grown meat using real animal cells but without harming animals. Is this the future of food production or is it just overblown hype?

  1. I did support it because of those meat eaters who refuse to give up killing
animals but now after your reasoning I realise what an idiot I am. I saw
this being pushed by Freelee and she convinced me. I’m so stupid. Thanks
    for guiding me👍🏻

    1. Yeah take everything Freelee says with a grain of salt. I mean she said to
her younger audience that if their parents are serving them a meat dinner
they should call law enforcement. Freelee and DurianRider are liars,
manipulators. They are not to be trusted.

    2. Freelee says meat eaters and carnivorous animals don’t deserve to live so
you shouldn’t ever listen to her

    3. How can you listen to Freelee, besides the misinformation and dumb logic
she rambles, her voice is just so grating, irritating and trashy sounding.
She and DR’s voice, both make me cringe.

    1. I think Vegan Gains should go up against more dumb vegans, the
pseudoscience vegans and plant based vegans who try to redefine veganism as
      a diet.

  2. How about feeding supermeat to cats or dogs? If we don’t have lab grown
meat then people will have to keep feeding their cats real meat.

    1. +Luna People don’t even naturally want meat. I grew up as a vegetarian and
I find meat disgusting. So if people didn’t give their kids meat they would
      never learn to want it.

    2. +Parisiennen
That is like saying if you raise your kids as atheists they will never
become religious. You’re an idiot. 35% of vegans eat meat when intoxicated
      based on a UK study.

    3. This is the only application of lab grown meat that I can support. Humans
should focus on plant-based “meat” to feed themselves.

  3. Supermeat would be perfect who dontwont to give up on. I support everything
which could end this madness. I dont get why you making this down. I mean
we have to begin with sth.. I dont think every single person on this planet
would gibe up meat in the near future. With supermeat maybe.

    1. +LegendaryNinjaGamer I think adults should be able to decide what they want
to do with their bodies, so long as it isn’t hurting another being.

    1. +Tasnim Hossain You would be an ideal recruit for the Nazi’s, isis, the kkk
the chinese dog torturers, your non existent level of empathy is ideal for
      those types of abominations.

    2. +Nuno Coelho Not to long ago someone told me the human race is the cancer
of planet earth and deserves extinction, despite me thinking he was crazy
and nihilistic for saying such an awful thing with such seriousness, I’m
actually starting to agree with him, and according to him, a great deal of
the motivation behind his pessimism and self loathing of the human race
actually came from the hate and ignorance of all the innumerable and
cancerous youtube comment sections, let alone human history.

And to think, after arguing with that guy for so long and making so many
excuses for the unending savagery of this vampric parasitic species, I
actually can’t blame him any more, now I see what he means smh.

  4. It will be many decades before SuperMeat is cheaper than existing animal
products. The Impossible-Burger however has just hit a few select
restaurants and will likely be in shops before the end of this year. That’s
something new and exciting we can really get behind, I made a couple of
vids going into detail about the ingredients and process, this product
could be cheaper than actual beef within a few years. Really interesting
    stuff.

    1. How diverse is this stuff though? All I’m seeing is burgers. The unwashed
masses want chicken, bacon, sausages, duck, etc.

  5. LOL, that must be so embarassing for them having all the big vegan
youtubers speak up against their useless super meat movement.

    1. Ok, I’m vegan, but I’ll not try to bring you into veganism, you do it if
      you want to.

Unlike carnivores or omnivores, your tongue doesn’t have protein or fat
receptors. Some scientific studies have found fat receptors, but it’s not
official, so I’ll assume that they don’t exist, since I’m basing my claims
      on official information.

Since we don’t have those receptors, raw meat is tasteless. The flavour of
meat is caused by the salt, plants and chemicals that are being added to
it. That’s you can create fake meat that tastes like meat.

With that said, Gardein has some good products. You can buy some fake meat
from them. Their fake chicken is good. If you don’t want to try it, don’t
try it. Go to the supermarket and buy the real thing. They taste the same,
      so who cares?

    2. +KrazyKrzysztof
Without the terrible smell? See, you’re just making my point. A properly
cooked chicken breast has no terrible smell. But you think it does, and
hence, you’re going to say, like all vegans do, But the fake stuff tastes
      just as good!!

You’re in no position to make the judgment. Your perception of taste has
been distorted by vegan judgments and perceptions.

  6. It once cost $325k to grow a burger in a petri dish. Today it costs $11—and
we can synthesize bread, lettuce, and cheese too.The cost goes down over
time the more people use it and the tech advances. It’s the same thing like
every other tech. I think it’s a good step for the masses. They will still
consume meat but animals won’t get hurt. It’s not perfect but it’s far
better than what is going on now. Lets face it, if a tech like that is
available for the public in max 10 years it will be far less time than it
needs for the majority of people to go vegan anyway.

  7. Can someone upvote or comment me?
I need notifications so I can pretend I’m busy at the meeting and just go

  8. I understand your point. But Meat is the best protein source. Fake meat
doesn’t have as much nutrients even tho it is healthier

    1. +Vegan Gains hey i think Rich Piana recently got divorced. I could be
wrong, but thats what I heard. Are you going to make a video about that?

  9. This might be the first time I’ve disliked one of your videos. Projects
like New Harvest and SuperMeat will eventually alleviate animal suffering,
and that’s the only thing I’m concerned with. Even Yourofsky and Greger are
on board with it. Veganism has a serious issue with making the perfect the
    enemy of the good.

  10. At the very least it’s a potential option for feeding most of our
omnivorous and carnivorous pets in a more sustainable way. If it works, of
    course.

  11. This surprisingly makes me respect you more. I kind of felt that you always
came across as a vegan who only abstained from animal products out of
ethical concerns, and skewed studies/data to fit your narrative that meat
and dairy is bad for you for that very reason. But now that there is scope
for a ethical version of these animal products, you still are sticking to
your guns and saying it is still unhealthy for people to consume. Respect!
