  1. incorrect part of the video. cholesterol has nothing to do with it. this is
what’s been preached for decades. Video needs to be updated.

    1. +Mohammed Suliman religion doesnt teach you about a real god, it teaches
you about a made up interpretation of what god is

    1. My grandfather died because of it. and I had a hart atack 2 months ago, and
I’m 29 years, seem to leave all the 2 generation, I was lucky and I’m fine
but I take five pills per day

    1. +Shawn Afshar If you want to prevent it, go vegan!

One of the many benefits of being vegan is that without consuming animal
products, the body doesn’t get the excess amount of cholesterol that
non-vegans have. As suggested by this video, this significantly reduces the
risk of heart attacks/disease and strokes (basically anything caused by the
      build up of cholesterol).

In fact, an Oxford study shows that mere vegetarianism (no meat, but
consuming other animal products) reduces the risk of these diseases by 30%.

    1. The signs of a heart attack for women and older adults can be different.
Often their symptoms present as atypical chest pains. This means it feels
more like indigestion or heartburn and can include nausea and vomiting.
Women are more likely than men to have a silent or unrecognised heart
attack. For women, they will also experience shortness of breath and
fatigue and weakness of the shoulders and upper arms. More old adults will
often seek medical attention for a variety of symptoms including difficulty
breathing, confusion, fainting, dizziness, abdominal pain or cough. They
often think they are having a stroke when in fact they are suffering a
      heart attack.

  2. March 13, 2011, a Sunday morning about 10 AM—-59 year old male bachelor,
never had health problems, ate ok, never smoked a cigarette in my life. I
was sitting in front of my computer typing when I suddenly felt a “ping” in
my chest, followed by a feeling like you get in your stomach when you are
hungry. Didn’t feel very well so I laid down a few minutes, but couldn’t
get comfortable. Got up and walked around outside for a minute or so and
suddenly I had to throw up. Maybe I had the flu? I thought to myself
“this isn’t right” and decided to drive to my local community hospital.
When I got to the ER I told them I wasn’t feeling particularly well. They
hooked me up to the ECG and in about 30 seconds the doctor told me “Mr. ****
you are having a heart attack”. Immediately there was a flurry of activity
with the ER staff. I heard the doctor say something about starting a
heparin drip and tPA. They were calling for the LifeFlight helicopter
which I was loaded into after about 15 minutes. It was a 20 minute flight
to the city hospital. About 10 minutes into it, I suddenly felt all
discomfort in my chest vanish. Apparently the blockage had dissolved. The
next morning they put a stent in my left descending anterior artery. I was
home in three days. Thanks to going to the ER and the tPA, I have had zero
    damage to my heart.

The lesson is this: if you are not feeling well with any chest symptoms,
don’t mess around. Go to the ER. Better to have them tell you it was just
gastritis or something. It could save your life.

  3. *Today, people mistake heart attack for cardiac arrest. The difference
between the two is actually very distinct. Cardiac arrest is the medical
situation when your heart stopped beating.*
